Vocabulary Teaching in Flipped Classrooms

 HELLO EVERYONE 

  Today I'll talk about my flipped classroom task. I'm so excited to tell you abıout the details of the task because it was so fun to do this task.

  Let's talk about flipped classroom method before talking about the task.

In flipped classrooms, students are supposed to revise the materials that have been given them by the teachers before the class. Yes, teacher gives the materials before the class and so that students can ask their questions in-class time. In my opinion, it is a very useful way of saving time in the classroom because if the students previously look at materials and have ideas about the subject, there would be more time for students to ask their questions and for the teacher to answer the question in-class time.

   Now let's talk about how me and my partner Kaan (he is a very responsible and good partner) created this task. We choose the "Movies" Unit in the 5th class student book. Kaan thought Moovly was a very useful tool to create video material for students. And he was totally right. I was scared at first because it looked complicated and I had never used that tool but when I started to use Moovly it became easier to create the video. Kaan created the first half of the video and I created the last half. 

After creating the video, we started to prepare a quiz for our subject. We used Kahoot to create an online quiz. With the help of the questions in the quiz, our students will be able to see what they have learned and ask any questions they have about the subject.
