Grammar Teaching in Flipped Classrooms

Hi again!

I talked about the flipped classroom activities last week. I was so excited while making these tasks and telling you about them and now here I'm excited to tell you about this week's task.

I shared some information about flipped classroom tasks in my previous blog. I mentioned that students are supposed to revise the materials that have been given them by the teachers before the class. Yes, the teacher gives the materials before the class and so that students can ask their questions in-class time.

I created a vocabulary teaching video. In this task, I created a grammar teaching video.

I worked with very sweet partners Şevval and Hasan. Firstly we decided on the topic we were going to create a grammar video about. Then we started to decide what every each of us was supposed to do for the task. It was the most challenging part because we are in different cities. I was supposed to create the video and edit the video. and Sevval was supposed to add her voice to the background of the video. And Hasan was supposed to make a handout for our topic.

I used Moovly to create the video. It's a very useful tool to create videos. I used some doodles in this tool. I think I'm going to use this tool a lot with my students. after creating the video I shared it with my friend Şevval so that she could put her voice in the background. Hasan used canva to create our quiz.

When our video was ready Hasan has created a quiz about our grammar subject for our students. When everything was ready I was so happy because I realized this method of teaching is going to help me as an English teacher.

Wikipages 'Bookreviews'

Let's talk about flipped classroom method before talking about the task. In flipped classrooms, students are supposed to revise the materials that have been given them by the teachers before the class.
